Air Traffic Management
We provide support in the air traffic management field from strategic planning and concept development to cost-benefit analyses of planned projects. With our dual background in both ATM and airline operations, we bring a balanced view to development ideas and concepts of operation.
Our expertise across creative storytelling, corporate videography, CMS driven websites and corporate identity creation enables us to get clients fit for the future, no matter what industry they’re in.
Training is an essential part of development in all fields. Since the time spent on training is by necessity time lost for production, it is essential that training be as efficient as possible and tailored for the specific needs of the clients and the subject matter. We offer standard and customized classroom training courses, e-learning modules and self-study packages, or a combination thereof, to suit all customer requirements.
Subjects include: Collaborative Decision Making (CDM), Runway Incursion and Excursion Prevention, Airside Capacity Enhancement. We develop training material for other subjects on demand.
Collaborative Decision Making
A complete modular package that includes everything from requirements analysis, cost-benefit analysis, implementation planning, project management, training and post implementation support.
If you only need a CDM training course, we can offer 3 or 4 day expert courses and 1 day management courses. We have delivered such courses from Colombia to Dubai and our experience stretches back almost a decade when we produced the very first CDM training course for EUROCONTROL.
Innovative software solutions are also available.
Runway Safety Improvements and Incursion Prevention
Complete analysis of the airport airside ground infrastructure and data on incidents to create a picture of the existing situation highlighting the risks including those that have not been discovered previously.
Development of proposals for improvements, including taxiway geometry, procedures, markings, signs, lighting and training/awareness raising.
Development of RNP procedures
Based on the latest ICAO and EASA requirements and the capabilities of the latest airborne and satellite equipment, we develop custom Required Navigation Performance (RNP) terminal area procedures and GNSS Landing System (GLS) based approach procedures. Both RNP and GLS represent the latest in efficient and safe navigation solutions for traditional as well as for critical locations.
RNP procedures enable shortening the flight path on both arrival and departure, cutting fuel burn and reducing emissions. In many cases RNP procedures move noise away from residential areas which can make the airport and airlines concerned better neighbours.
Development of interactive awareness raising and training materials
Whether for the prevention of runway incursions, training in the use of data links, collaborative decision making or information management, our experts can develop custom training courses for classroom, internet based training or self-study which represent the best in the industry both in training content and visual quality and innovation.
Single European Sky Compliant safety assessment
Safety assessment of Air Navigation Service systems and procedures as required by and in compliance with SES Common Requirements Regulation 2096/2005 Annex II/3.2 (orig. ESARR 4).
Audit and evaluation of airport security arrangements
Overt or covert review and evaluation of passenger screening and other security arrangements in accordance with the applicable EU, ICAO and FAA requirements. The review generates a comprehensive report and recommendations for improvement.
Note: This activity is carried out by a fully licensed partner company with BluSky Services acting as the referring agent.
Using best in class methodology and experts, we develop cost-benefit analyses to help customers make business decisions.
Airside Capacity Enhancement support
The ACE methodology is a powerful, free tool for enhancing airside capacity. We have found that at some airports the resources needed to make full use of ACE are not available and it would not be cost effective to hire full time resources to address airside capacity. We can provide support in such cases that is no less effective while being much cheaper.
Airports and air navigation service providers often face the need to develop their operations but often lack the resources to undertake the early concept development phase which is in fact vitally important for the success of the development project that will be based on it.
Our experts, having participated in the development of ATC systems, airport expansion, operational concept development as well as the execution of actual projects are available to support airspace users, airports and air navigation service providers in developing their ideas, defining concepts and evaluating the technical impact of different available concept options. All this at a very attractive price and in full compliance with current industry initiatives (SESAR, NextGen).
